“It’s all set,” Jasmine said to her son as he swung in the swing beside her. “Mommy’s gonna take that mean ol’ bitch down and she’s never going to hurt us again!”

Kim was the last one to arrive at Jasmine’s house. As she pulled up in the driveway, she saw Stacey’s car parked there. “What the fuck are these bitches cookin’ up?” she asked as she got out of her car and walked up to the house.

She was more than shocked when Jasmine answered the door holding a baby. At first glance, she thought it may have been Stacey’s, but she soon put that suspicion to rest when she saw Stacey’s son asleep in his carrier.

“You can pick your face up off the ground now. You’re letting out all of my air,” Jasmine said, referring to her A/C that was on full blast.

Without uttering a word, Kim sucked her teeth as she brushed past Jasmine and made her way into the living room where Stacey was sitting. “So why’d you call me here?” Kim asked, sparking conversation between the three of them. She had hopes that whatever it was it would be quick and painless. She didn’t have time for their games.

“It’s about that bitch Audrey, or should I say your so-called ‘friend’,” Jasmine replied.

“What about her?”

“The bitch has been playing us from the moment she came back!” Stacey yelled out. Kim could tell something had seriously gone awry for Stacey to come out of character so early on in the conversation.

“What do you mean? What happened?” Kim asked, trying her best to keep her cool.

“She’s been playing us all against each other as if she didn’t know about us fucking Jeff! She knows about you too Kim!” Jasmine told her.

“There’s no way she can know about me, my story is fool proof!” Kim boasted back, sounding overly proud of herself. She was beyond sure her plan was working because she’d made sure she went the extra mile to sell her story to Audrey. She had photo shopped some photos of her and her ex Charles together and had them sitting in frames around her house for effect. She’d even made a fake Facebook profile for him that said that he was in a relationship and expecting his first child.

“Well your little plan didn’t work! She told me everything when I went over there! You should’ve seen the way she was taunting me!”

“Wait, why’d you go over there in the first place?” Kim asked as her eyes darted over to Stacey who lowered her head.

Jasmine sighed loudly. “Does it really matter, Kim?”

“I asked, so that means I want to know.”

“I went over there to tell her about you Kim, okay? But the bitch already knew!”

“So you were gonna rat me out bitch?” Kim said, standing up from her seat. She could feel the anger rising inside her.
